How to apply for a place at St James the Less RC Primary School
Applications to St James the Less for admission into Reception Class for September 2025 requires parents/carers to use Lancashire County Council's online application system. Please follow the link below. The closing date for applications is 5pm on 15th January 2025.

The school’s in year admissions will be administered by the governing body of the school.
If you are new to the area or want to request a transfer to St James the Less RC Primary School, you may contact us directly to find out if a place is available for your child.
If your child is moving schools during the year the start date will normally be at the beginning of the next school term. They will continue to attend their existing school until that date.
If you are new to the area and your child does not already have a school place, this does not apply.
Applying to our School
To apply for a place, please speak with our school office and complete our In-Year Admissions form and return to office@st-jamesless.lancs.sch.uk
A SIF form is also required. You can download this above or fill it out online here.

Where places are available but we have more applications than places, the published oversubscription criteria will be applied, to ensure the correct child/children are offered the places.
