Home School Agreement
Home, Pupil & School Agreement
Our school is a Catholic School where our faith is taught, lived and celebrated. We work together for the development of our children, with the love of God and our neighbour as our central focus. Through this common bond, all members of our community, children, staff, parents, Governors and friends, work in partnership towards love, tolerance and justice. We believe that each member of our community is a unique individual with particular talents and needs. Our school community strives to live the Gospel message, to develop our vision as members of the church and to move forward in faith together.
All research shows that children achieve more when schools and parents work together in an effective partnership for the benefit of the child. This agreement provides the framework for the continual development of such a partnership. This Home-School agreement sets the role of the school, the parent and the pupils in this vital partnership. Thank you for your support.
School will:
Support the parent in providing opportunities through the celebration of our Catholic Faith. Provide a welcoming and safe learning environment. Develop and deliver a creative curriculum in such a way that all children achieve their full potential. Encourage the child to develop a respect for the people and property around them. Promote good attendance and communicate with children and parents about attendance, work and behaviour. Inform parents of the work being carried out in their child’s class each term.
Home will:
Ensure that the child arrives at school shortly before 8.45am each morning, doors open at 8.35am. Inform the school before 9.15am if the child is absent, and update as to the reason of absence regularly. Ensure that the child is dressed appropriately for all school activities and is reminded of school rules including online safety. Ensure that the child attends school regularly and provide an explanatory note when the child is absent and avoid holidays in term time. Attend parent consultation meetings to discuss the child’s progress. Ensure that the child completes homework tasks and respects school property brought home to complete these tasks.
The Pupil will:
Be polite and helpful to others at all times. Attend school regularly and punctually. Support the school rules. Respect other people’s property and use school equipment properly. Do their best in all they are asked to do. Treat others as they would like to be treated themselves. Be a great ambassador out of school and a great friend in school.
Together we will:
Encourage the child to become a valuable member of God’s family. Support the child’s learning to help them achieve their best.
